I pinged the search engines as well as announcing my blog update at twittter.
No sign of blog on the first or second page of google yet. I still have not heard from amazon affiliate support. There is no urgency with the affiliate stuff because there is no traffic to the blog yet
My progress.. so far.
I think I have learnt a lot, done a lot and achieved a lot in a short space of time in so far as creating and maintaining my blog is concerned. Having chosen a niche that is very heavily competed, I have made hardwork of what I wanted to achieve. But, that is good in my view for my first attempt at creating a help resource. This decision of mine leads me to conclude I should have carried out niche research as has been explained in Howie's training videos. I think I missed a few steps and that is one of my problems. That lack of initial research has been the most important lession for me so far.
All is not lost. I need to revise my strategy and fight harder before quitting. So, I need a lot of links pointing to my site. I came across some really good resources from Howies training material to help me do just that. However, it means I need to commit some financial resources. So there is that decision that I am toying with right now.
Additionally, I hope to get some credit from my article that is in the pending tray at the article marketer. I just checked there was a problem with one of the category that I chose. So, I have revised it again and again the article goes through another review. It has now been scheduled for that review for tomorrow.
Finally, quit smoking blog is alive and kicking.
